In 2009 the festival was nominated to the prestigious UK Festival Awards in the category of Best Overseas Festival. Famous music performers as Rihanna, Akon, 50 Cent or the Chemical Brothers have already sung here. Krupówki – visit, taste and never forget

Krupówki is a street which combines the extraordinary atmosphere of the Polish country with urban elements of the last century. The heart of Zakopane is full of life in summer and winter, always ready to satisfy the demands of visitors with its regional treasures, old museums, wooden restaurants and friendly but specific Góral people.

How to get there
Krupówki, one of the most famous streets in Poland, is a perfect touristic spot for those who enjoy the mixture of tradition with new urban trends. It begins with intersection of Nowatorska – Kościeliska Str. and runs upwards with an over 1-km long cobbled pathway with benches, street lamps and stalls  and eventually meets its end in the beginning of Władysława Zamoyskiego Str.

There was a church and a museum
Definitely, The Holy Family Church (Kościół Świętej Rodziny) built in the 19th Century  located next to Nowatorska Str. qualifies as a must-see. Inside, you can admire a fascinating chapel of John the Baptist, built in the Zakopane Style created by Stanisław Witkiewicz.
You also can’t miss the Tatra Museum of Dr. Tytus Chałubiński which contains three permanent exhibitions: history of Podhale region, ethnographic description of traditional interiors and finally - fauna and flora of Zakopane.

Where to wine and dine
IN the mountains, if you hear something rumble you need to seek shelter. And if this is a belly-rumble you have a plethora of choices:  from luxurious but not-so-expensive wooden furnished restaurants serving regional cuisine (visit ‘Bacówka’ inn) to omnipresent international  Pizza Hut (with a local touch) or KFC.  There are also friendly cafes (like Samanta café) and if you want something stronger – enjoy busy pubs and clubs (e.g. Prestige).

More attractions
Krupówki is a perfect market place – stalls selling traditional Góral souvenirs and food compete with all-stuff shops built in two opposite rows of town houses.
And before leaving –don’t forget to take a picture with a giant bear wandering along the street and take a ride in a traditional cab to admire the whole city.
